The Florida Angel Investment Alliance was founded in January of 2006 to facilitate early-stage
"angel" investment throughout the state. Spearheaded by four Florida-based angel investment funds and supported by Enterprise Florida the FAIA is the only statewide organization devoted to this mission.
A private not-for-profit membership based corporation, the FAIA includes within its membership:
- Angel Investment Funds
- Structured Angel Investment Organizations
- Informal Angel Groups
- Individual Angel Investors
The Alliance's activities and services focus in the following principle program areas:
- Delivery of educational programming to educate and inform angel investors.
- Assistance to individuals in the formation of effective angel capital investment organizations.
- Assistance to entrepreneurs in accessing sources of angel capital investment
- Advocacy of the importance of angel capital investment to the future economic development of the state
