1.    Is the Alliance a for-profit organization?

No. The Alliance is a 501[c][6] tax exempt not for profit organization.

2.    Is the Alliance affiliated with the state of federal government?

The Alliance receives a financial contribution from Enterprise Florida, Inc., a public-private partnership coordinating economic development activity in the state. With the exception of that relationship, the Alliance has no formal affiliation with local, state or federal governments.

3.    Does the Alliance make direct investments?

No. All investment is made through the Alliance's investor members.

4.    Must companies be located in Florida to access the investors of the Alliance?

No.

5.    Is the membership of the Alliance restricted to investment organizations and individuals located in the state of Florida?

No.

6.    Are all Alliance members "accredited investors"?

Full Members, Provisional Members and Individual Members are required to meet the accredited investor requirements of the Securities Act of 1933. Alliance Affiliate Members are not required to certify that their members meet this requirement.

7.    How are the operations of the Alliance funded?

Alliance operations are funded through membership dues, sponsorships and grants.
